front tire chopped
Tire pressure is fine, I did some research and found that it is kind of like pushing a pencil eraser, the eraser rolls a bit and the front edge wears more than the back edge. So taking turns hard the edges of the grooves on the tire grip while the back edge rolls and does not wear as much, causing the cupping. this is just what I have read and makes since to me.
on another note I do get a wobble while pushing it hard through a turn, which I am told is normal also.
Some tires are also more prone to cupping than others, and will eventually cup all by themselves, simply from how a motorcycle front end is set up. 80/20's, or 80% street/29% off road tires, like the ones found on KLR's have basically flat *****, which will cup when the miles start piling up on them. Other tires with similar tread designs will do it as well. Typically high-mileage tires at the cheaper end of the spectrum, but I've seen some 'better' tires do it to.
You'll wanna make sure your tire pressures are set correctly pretty much every time you ride, and if you can't remember the last time your fork oil's been changes, or it's been say a couple of years or over 10k miles(your owner's manual should tell you how often..some bikes have a longer service interval than others).
After that, get some good-wearing tires with linear tread patterns on 'em, and go ride..!
