Seems no matter you you say to some They Just don't get it .. All Idling an engine does is create enough heat to add moisture then shut it off and let the contaminates go to work .. If Going to Run it... Run it hard for an hour or don't run it all .. When spent a few Winters in North MI ( where wife was from ) Drained the Oil, Put in Fresh, Park on 1/4" piece of Plywood, Put in on the Tender, Wiped down all areas prone to Rust with WD 40 and left her be..
+1 to to wd40... surprisingly enough.. I have a Yamaha 650 Classic that was submerged in about 4 1/2 feet of water during Ike.. WD40 really helped keep the chrome from rusting.. I was really surprised..
Seafoam is 100 times better than normal fuel stabalizer, i love that stuff.
Seafoam is great stuff, I use it as part of my regular 5,000 maintenance routine. But, to my knowledge, it's just a cleaner and has no fuel stabilizing benefits.
