Like an idiot I had the brackets reversed. Although there isn't a good way to tell which side is which. Until you're 3/4 done and have to start over.

Thanks everyone for your help - forwards are on and I'm going for a ride.

cheers!!

Just thought would mention, On some Bikes your exhaust will block the installation of Forward Controls and also remember when ordering an Aftermarket Exhaust be sure it is compatible with your controls Mid or Forward... Sometimes Aftermarket Exhaust will require moving the passenger Peg as well..

Tricky part is, the brackets will hold either the brake assembly or the shifter assembly. I had the shifter side working fine but the brake side wouldn't bolt up. I bench tested it too. I was certain I had things dialed up right before I started. Good thing I used blue loctite....
Thanks for the part #

Zanotti's quotes $311. That ain't bad.

It's not a 'stretched out' riding position, as some information would have one believe. It's more of a comfortable sitting position with legs forward rather than tucked under knees. Shifting especially is much more fluid. With the mids I found myself having to flex the ankle/knee to get my toe in the right spot. With the forwards, my toe is right there.
