Just got my Nightster last week and I was wondering if anyone had a solution to my problem. I would like to be able to carry 2 flags on the back of my bike. I don't have a sissy bar(not yet anyways) and I did my 1st ride with the Patriot Guard yesterday and I want to keep on doing them but next time sporting some colors.
I have searched the internet to no avail and no ideas. Can any sportster/nightster riders help please? Pics would be great too.
Harley makes one that mounts to the sissy bar for around I thing 40 bucks if and when you decide to pick one up. They come with a POW flag or the standard US flag.
It's gotta be really easy to fab something up and mount them to the blinker/stoplight pods. Gimme a few zip ties and garage scraps and I'd McGuyver something up quick.
Does anyone know of a clean, professional looking mount that will support flags that will mount to a Sportster/Nightster on each side of the rear of the bike without the aid of Sissy bars?
I do know about the sissy bar mounted ones and thank you Brown I will use those when I do get a sissy bar. And Frooch thanks for the McGyver Idea, but I want something that looks nice.
HOTLAP I never thought of using Google, thank you for 2 posts to tell me that. No wonder you have over 2000 posts and being a cool guy such as yourself. One day I might be as cool as you. Next time if you leave a post actually help the situation except being a wise guy.
Lol gunny, you gotta love these folks with such great ideas that lead to no help at all. I've actually been looking for something as well to mount my POW flag and PG flags on to each side. I may just end up fabricating something my self. It may be time to bring out the ol welder and see what happens. Good luck in your search and if I come up with something I'll let you know. Until then I think we may be SOL.
For the standard Sporty with a fender mounted tag you can get a flag mount that handles 2 small flags, one off each side of the tag frame. For the Nighty, with no sissy or luggage rack, you're probably going to have to fab something.
