I have a 883 N and have had up to 100mph and it was fine, got blasted by the wind to the point I thought I was gonna let go of the grips but no wobble lol.
I think it's irresponsible of a dealer/tech to say things like that, dont they want to sell the bike? Or just scare people?
yes i just bought a new Harley 883n and was told by the service departmant this bike has a death wobble at 90 what im wondering is has anyone else experienced this and if it exist what can be done to the steering to fix it?
hungoverdog what year is yours mine is the 883n and knowing my brother probably was one drives a ninja and the other a harley had to trailor it home way out of town during a sever weather outbreak so only choice or go back later but was tempted to ride it got caught in a storm yesterday it handels good in the rain this is my first ever harley so got alot to learn about them
I have a 2009 Iron & have had no DEATH wobbles over 90 mph ... not that that is a consistent speed for me but I have been over that a few times & mine seems OK for now. Is it possible the bike was a "dealer buyback" for that concern ??? or maybe the guy is just a total idiot ???
i will say i got it up to around 85 today and it felt solid as a rock other than the wind trying to knock me off cause it is so windy but thank you all for the feedback had just found your forum yesterday and everyone made me feel welcomed thank you all
