i am also interested in this... riser is nice and i love the look of the stock handlebars, but they are just a little short for me (notice it mainly on longer rides- seems like i have to reach too far forward). prob cause of my lower seat and forward pegs.
Do what i did, 1.5 inch risers, invert the speedo in the housing, and bolt the clamp upside down. Works great for me:
im getting ready to do the exact same thing did you have to cut out the back of the speedo mount? i havent taken a real good look at it but from what i can tell it is "slotted" for lack of a better word. so the speedo can only face one direction.
i have a 2001 custom and want to do the same thing, but haven't decided which way to do it yet, i like your idea of flipping the speedo though... i've seen a lot of those nightster guys with speedos relocated to the side of the tank, is that possible with the custom??
