1) When I have the throttle full open on the high way pulling a hill or passing the motor starts to run out of gas. I let up on the throttle and it seems to run like a bear. Any ideas
2) Second problem is I just switch over to Synthetic oil and the timing inspection plug is leaking oil. I have pulled it and cleaned it and put Teflon tape on the threads. It helps but did not stop it.
Don't know about the oil plug problem, but I had a similar problem with the fuel delivery at full open. Solved it by tuning and cleaning the carb, but also had to put a larger diameter fuel line. The one on there was not big enough to keep up when running the bike flat out.
Do you still have the stock pipes & air cleaner? My bike did the exact same thing. As soon as I installed my V&H pipes it ran like a bat out of hell at full throttle! I think the bike just needed to breath better.
