Congrats on the Triumph. They're nice bikes. If the local Triumph Dealer didn't leave me standing in the middle of their showroom with a cheque in hand for an hour a few years ago, I'd probably be riding a Speedmaster today.
Have to say I'm happy the way things turned out, but still lust after the Triumphs. Beautiful rides.
It's unfortunate that around here their dealer has a rep for ripping people off for really crappy work. Everyone I have met that rides one loves the bike, but hates the local dealer and wouldn't buy one again because of them.
Our Harley dealer here is like that. He's in bankruptcy court and owes $13 million to different dealers and suppliers. So I totally understand.
Got my bike today. It's FANTASTIC!! I do like my Sportster, but this is a much smoother ride on the highway. Will push it more after I break it in. It's so nice!!! Will put up a picture later.
I had a Triumph and they are good bikes, just not my thing. If they still made them like they did in the early '60's, I'd have another in a heart beat.
Back in the day I had a 550 tr loved the thing not real fast but very quick, a lot of fun running the stop light drag strip. In fact it was probley the most fun on a scoot until I got my sporty.
