Default drag bar installation question

I was wondering how hard it is to install the new bars? I guess what i'm worried about is the spring buttons on the hand controls. A buddy of mine said they were a pain getting the springs back in the right place. but someone else told me you dont even have to take them off all the way to get the controls off the old bars. I got a set for christmas and i don't want to play for someone else to put it on if its not hard. any comments on how to do it or pictures would be great. i am pretty handy with tools, just worried about starting a project and not being able to finish it.

Just take the one upper and lower screw out of the switch housings and they split in half. no need to worry about the switch springs unless you swap out the switch buttons. The most important thing is to make sure you don't pinch your wires in the purch clamps that hold on your clutch and brake and make sure to take extra care when puting on your brake lever in not to damage your stop lite switch that portrudes slightly out of the housing to make contact with the brake lever. Depending on the room, you may have to take off the throttle grip in which you'll have to loosen up your throttle/idle cables to get slack in the grip to take the little ferrils out that attatch the cables to the grip.

Also if you are going to keep the stock cables then you might need to adjust the clutch lever free play since the calbles will have more slack in them-that's what I had to do and it really could use a shorter clutch cable.

I did 24 inch drags on mine...all the extra hoses and cabling proved to be a pain in the *** and looks funny....i want to trim all the extra cabling i can soon...other than that i love the way it looks.
