Stock Handlebars

I just returned from Kansas yesterday after touring the H-D assembly plant where they asemble the Sportster, Dyna and V-Rod. While there I asked the tour guide if the bars on the stock Sportster were chrome plated or polished stainless. He was unable to answer my question. Can any of you folks tell me what they are made of? Thanks for all replies.

If I am not mistaken they are stainless... I read it somewhere...

All stock harley davidson bars are stainless steel except for the CVO bikes with internal wiring. Stainless steel has a yellowish tint compared to chrome.

Don't know for sure but my guess is stainless. I'd have to agree with the other replies so far. BTW, tell us about the tour. Bet it was interesting. Got pics?
