Plugged a nail hole in your rear tire or did you just have it patched ? It's a brand new tire to boot

I had the same situation last November. Bought my 883 in July, discovered a very small nail in the rear tire, would leak about 1 lb. air pressure a day. At that ime the bike had about 2500 miles on it. I called the dealer where i purchased the bike, asking about repairing it, plug or patch. I was told of a liability issue with it, my choice from them was a new tire. I know how u feel, seems like such a waste. I bit the bullet and purchased a new rear tire. I googled bike tire repair, there are many options available. Guess it's your discision.

Good Luck, Ride Safe

Mag or spoked wheel? If you have a spoke and a tube slap a new tube in. If you have a mag and no tube toss a tube in and call it a day.

I'd also patch it if you're gonna go this way.

Agree on an inside patch on the tire if going to tube a mag tubeless style .. only 5 mins more extra work ..

+1 on adding the tube if possible. I had a nail in my rear tire and was going to go this route, until the nail was pulled and it didn't leak any air.

Plugs are good for quick road side repairs. They tend to eject from the tire at speeds above 70mph. If it's tubeless, use a "T" patch, it fills the hole from the inside.

Not in my tire, but I pluged one on a Dyna with the same wheel and same tire size. Stupid chick rode it for about 10,000 miles with the plug in there. Tire wore out...plug was still good. I don't recommend that, but it happened.
