I get about 100 to 130 miles before my lite comes on, depending on how much country road I ride. I have the 4.5gal. tank and when my lite comes on at about 2.8gal. So I'd say I'm getting about 40mpg on the average.
depends... around town i am usually "riding it like i stole it" and have seen as low as 25 mpg. on the road (around 65 mph) over 50 mpg- first time on the road i thought that my fuel light was broken and i stopped before it came on over 100 miles (it comes on after i have used about 2 to 2.5 gallons even though its a 4.5 gal tank).
i think that it depends on how you ride, where you ride and whats on your bike. mine has a ness sucker, v&h pipes and a fuel managment system set to run rich.
Awesome. I havent calculated yet, I have the stage one, screaming eagle intake and v&h pipes.... The new sticker said 57hwy/44 city. Just wanted to hear some experience on the matter. 11 more days til I get back home to get my licence. yeeehaw! LOL
My low fuel warning light used to come on at 65 mile's, that was with short trip's around home because of the cold. But last week I rode her to work and home and have 87 mile's on a full tank now and the low fuel light hasn't come on yet. So the mileage is better that I feared. Called a store near the lake yesterday to ask if he had 93 octane fuel. He replied most positively yes. So I drove my truck over there with my two five gallon can's to get some. Got there and all he had was 91 octane. I went inside to inquire. The young man who I had talked to on the phone wouldn't even come up forward to talk to me, instead he sent a nice young lady who responded to me sorrrrrrrrrrrrrrry, you know the reply right? So I left with yet another incounter with a willfully ignorant imployee. Probably a member of the " i was looking for a job when i found this one croud ". So I guess 91 octane is the best I can do. I know it's enough, but just wanted to do a little bit better. I know the marina's have it but the price is just too high. IMO.
