I just installed the 14" Narrow Apes with the 14" cable/wire install kit. They are both great products. All the hoses and cables are black rubber in the install kit. With the included instructions and the service manual I had no problem getting it all done including internally wiring the bars. I got it done in a single afternoon. The extensions for the switches are super easy to install and was the part I was worried most about before tearing into it.
I had the same question, but if i got the extension kit by itself and used on diff set of bars do you think i will have any problems?
It should be fine so long as the bars are roughly the same size as the bars indicated by the install kit. I highly recommend the installation kit especially to those who have never done a switch to taller bars. I felt the instructions were great, but it does tell you to refer to the service manual for the details of hooking the throttle/idle, clutch, and front brake lines up. It has absolutely everything you need to do the install, and the price is great. I priced out all the cables and what not at my local dealer and it was going to be way more expensive to buy everything separately.

Cool deal! I know JP Cycles sells the extension kit for 199.00 would any body else know where to buy it?
