The question you did not ask is what is wrap?
It is fiberglass fabric 1" or 2" wide.
Due to being fiberglass it will make a bit of itchy dust if you wrap pipes with dry fabric.
This stuff is nothing compared to fiberglass house insulation. long gloves & a long sleeved shirt & you can wrap without itches.
The fiberglass is sealed by paint.
If you wrap it correctly heat will still escape but the metal underneath will not overheat.
