Default Using a Battery Tender

Excuse the ignorance but should a battery tender be used all the time while the bike's not in use or just once in awhile?

I use a Tender only if the bike is going to sit unused for more than a few of days. If the bike gets ridden regularly, keeping the battery charged won't be an issue.

From what I have read, you can use it all the time, however I think it's overkill. I only use it if the bike sits more than a week. during riding season that doesn't happen .... lol

Be Safe JIM

I use mine all the time. Even if I ride it every day to work, it's only a couple of miles, not enough to charge the battery.

That's a good point. It takes 20-30 minutes of riding to replace the energy used from the battery, each time you start the bike.

Especially with a fuel injected bike.
