I have searched the internet and the forums. Does anybody know of a fairing for a sporty?

If you're talking about a batwing fairing try Memphis Shades.

I think Arlen Ness makes a little fairing cover for the sporties...

Only one that I have seen that is plug and play. They have a version with speakers too.

Rifle makes a fairing for the Sportster - I think it's called the Rifle Roadster.

I do too, and I think the Corbin fairing looks like it is kind of a PIA to remove.

You've seen the new HD one, right? HD also has a headlight cover which wouldn't protect anything but has a good look to it on some bikes. I don't do a lot of miles on the highways, though.
