Wise indeed.

I am modding a stock 2005 Sporty air cleaner to route the oily air out. Then use your advice above.
For the last part of the hose I will use clear tubing to see the oil accumulated.

Or just run it to a catch can so you don’t have 5 miles of hose wrapping around your bike.

Grancuda’s point is when you run the hose high, the oil will line the inside of the hose and can run back down to engine, before collecting in a long hose or even a catch can.

In my opinion a hose is far neater than a dangly messy can.

Running the usual catch can down below the air filter, as almost all do, will definitely result in a full/overflowing catch can mess on your bike. And it will need emptying far more often.

I’ve been with guys on a long run and seen the oil dripping over the engine.

I 👃 what his point is. You totally missed mine by stating “dangly messy can” lmao 😆

I was thinking of a nice small or large catch can mounted like a 3rd grader didn’t do it or a small or large can hidden.

3rd, I don’t think you know what a catch can is, at all

4th “as almost do” me offer no almost so advice

5th If it’s “messy” that is not a catch can. Catch cans don’t spill or are not messy if done above the 5th grade level
