help.. no brake lights after handel bar swap

Default help.. no brake lights after handel bar swap

as the title states i swapped out my handel bars recently to some bitwell's. no after trying to put the throttle assembly and brake lever together i cant get the brake lever to put the tail light switch to turn it off. now the brake lights are on all the time. i tryed to put something in there and it did work a few minutes but then went back to staying on the whole time. thanks in advnace for some hopefull help or advice.

are the screws all tightened fully? Check to see if the wire is pinched under the switch housing, mine took a little finagling to get the lever and the switch housing to seat together to depress the switch.

tried that several different ways. where are the wires supposed to sit? i have mine tucked on the underside is this correct?

You've likely broken the plunger on the brake light switch, it's easy to do if you didn't wedge a piece on cardboard in there.

i did try to put some electrical tape on it and after a short ride it stopped working. can i buy another plunger or should i just try to wedge something heavier in there?

when you pull the assembly u must put a heavy peice of card board at the lever...take it apart with the wedge in it and put it back together, if its not interlocked right it wont work.

wad up some 2 sided tape and cram in there ,mines been like that for about 3 yrs now,just check it every once in awhile
