Default What's Better, a 1200C or a 1200R

Since my One post about " Is a Sportster a girl's bike " caused Sooooo many responces
I thought I would Start Another Controversy. Which is the Better Bike. A 1200C Or A 1200R

When I first thought about buying a sportser I had trouble deciding which one to get.
I came Real Close to buying a 1200C but in the end I went with the 1200R model.
Glad I did too. I like the Black and Chrome motor of the 1200C But the 1200R beats it
in just about Every Other aspect. For one thing It Handles Much Better and Now that I have
a Full 1200S suspension on mine it rides like its on rails. For another it brakes quicker since it
has Dual front Disks. It has more ground clearence for those rough roads and the Mid mounted
controls gives one more control over the bike in the curves when I Lean into it. Yep the 1200C
is a Pretty bike But the 1200R Blows its doors in performance and ride. To me the 1200C looks
like a bike for someone who really wanted a softtail or dyna and just couldnt afford it.

I realize there are Way more 1200C owners then 1200R owners out there and this post will probably get me Flamed but what the hell. Isnt Controversy Great. Beside's when you consider how Few 1200R models get sold that just means come resale time my bike will be a much more rarer/valueable bike then a 1200C.

Just my 2 cents worth. Your Comments Please.
hahahahahaha

They are both great looking bikes, but for the riding we do, I'd go with the C model due to having a gallon more gas capacity. It's not always necessary, but comes in handy sometimes.

Ypu're right. You are an ***hole and your 1200R will be unsellable because no one wants it. (Tongue in cheek flaming!)
Personally, I love the 1200C, but mainly because of the seat height. It's a short person thing.
Seriously, regarding your question? Who gives a ****. Harleys are individualized and each person like what they like. Aside from an obvious engineering problem, it's what it says on the tank, how it sounds and the pride that goes with it. Many moons ago, I posted that one thing I loved about this forum was that we all had very strong opinions about our bikes and different models, but we all respected each other's choices and rejoiced in their joy at getting "their" bike.
The only time that I think we shoould discuss "Which bike is better?" is when a (usually new) rider is asking questions re: size, handling, what type of riding they do, etc. Art

I think it's like asking whether I prefer blondes or brunettes - I want both! The Custom and Roadster are great bikes in their own right. I prefer the C for a low, cruisin', chromed ride (and is what I have). If I could, though, I'd also have a Roadster set up to be a mean racin' ****...

Well I dont know if I would go That Far Bro. I wasnt putting the 1200C down, Just expressing a personnal opnion. Actually Harley named them pretty good. 1200C for Cruising and 1200R for Riding. As far as selling the 1200R down the road I doubt I will have any issues. What I see on Ebay is 1200R's Usually have a Lot of Bids on them. Finally if your So Short that you cant sit on a 1200R maybe you should consider something more your speed. Like a Tricycle. They have Forward Controls too... hahahahaha

I definitely like my 1200C better than the roadster but this really boils down to personal opinion and has nothing to do with which is better. That's a question I'm not qualified to answer.

I had my choice and went with the R. I like the mag wheels, tach, Dual discs and even if it's smaller the tank. The C is pretty with it's extra chrome but the tank is not SPORTSTER.
