02 sporty drag pipe questions

Exclamation 02 sporty drag pipe questions

i noticed a lot of peple have drag pipes. how many people have had to rejet there carbs. do you guys think that i will have to change mine? i really dont want to. i just look the old sckool look of the pipes and the sound is great. thanks mitchellt

I have the drags and the guy I bought the bike from but them on in 01 and I didnt have to rejet the carb or do any work up unitl last year...

You might want to throw on a more free flowing air cleaner like the Screaming Eagle air cleaner, amoung others, so that you can get more performance out of your engine. You will have to re-jet the carb though but you might really enjoy the new found engine performance too! I had drag pipes on my 1999 XL883 but I installed a RB Racing 2 into 1 Exhaust pipe on my bike and although I also like the old school look of drag pipes and the sound of the drag pipes, after I felt the increase in performance that the 2 into 1 pipe made I just couldn't go back to the drag pipes again and I really like the sound of the 2 into 1 pipe too!
