Default rider back rest

I am looking for a add on backrest for riders seat, I have found one at protact.com. Has anyone tried this backrest and if you have please post pics. and let me know how you like it. I have a 2004 xlc 883.

First one I've seen for a Sporty. Would be nice if they listed the prices and had pics of it on all the models. A few more details and specs about it would be a good thing too.

I don't like the looks, maybe its fine on a bagger, but on a sports bike?

If you sit bolt upright, yes, the back has to hold you against the wind.
Bit with the correct seating position, you lean forward a bit and balance the force of the wind, no back strain.

Low bars feel good, the bike seems more sporty and you want to zip around turns, and have fun, big handlebars don't feel the same at all.

You could also put a windshield on to stop the wind, even a little one helps a lot I hear, but never used one.
I figure I will have to hit 60 years old before I do the windshield thing, and I am only 52.

Mustang makes a seat with a backrest for sportsters...

the sportster is not a "sports bike"

to the OP
our indy shop here in town did a custom back rest for a lady. looked pretty cool on her custom. and helped out alot for long rides. go for it.

somewhere around $145, that is the price I was quoted, but not sure about shipping and handling.
