Default Ignition/Coil Relocation Q

For those of you who have done this project and had it installed for a while on your bike, have you experienced any problems since doing so? Any problems with engine heat? This project obviously helps to clean up the front end a little, but does it provide any other functionality? Are there any particular kits available that work best?

after 8k no issues with heat or the assembly breaking ...

I kept my ignition in the stock location because I find it to be functional and out of the way. My coil is relocated to the side and mounted to the cylinders in a similar manner to a traditional horn mount. No issues with heat. I didn't use a kit as it was very easy to fabricate.

No problems, just compliments.

Ditto, i don't get moving the ignition away from the fork-lock that uses the same key.

Hey JoeB.-thanks for the link, great write-up and look! I might give this a shot tomorrow evening as it's supposed to rain here...and rain for the entire weekend as well....and the next two days after that...I guess I can really take my time.

Thanks for the info guys--appreciate your thoughts.
