Default Ugh! A scratch!
Ok, I know scratches are inevitable, but I would at least like to have 1000 miles on the bike first! :P

So I have a 2010 Iron 883, and I got about an inch long scratch on top of the gas tank. Is there anything I can do to get rid of it?

Think it was from a zipper

Doesn't appear to be too deep, but the paint is gone from it for sure

If its not all the way thru the clear coat you may can have someone wet sand and buff it. Who knows hopefully that may get rid of it.

Pick up the phone and call a dealer ask the service dept manager. This probably isn't the first time they've seen this happen with the increase in denim paint over the last few years.

eww...whoops...probably not. I've only used it on clearcoat, not flat.
