no charging help!!
I am new to the hd world and I just purchased a nice 75 sporster runs great... well did I am having a chargeing problem. The bike don't have a gen light so I rigged up a test light in its place, I did all the test the manual shows but not any luck. it has a solid state regulator and a new armiture. I did a continuity test of all the wires in the chargeing system all good changed out the regulator still no chargeing. Took the generator went thro it find nothing wrong but when I put it on the bike and leave it unhooked and put my meter on the A terminal and ground out the F terminal I show 1 to 3 volts, and my test light that has power on both sides gets brighter when I ground the F terminal. I checked continuity from post A to F and shows and did a test from a to ground and f to ground and no continuity there, so what's my problem?? Any help sure would be nice have not got to ride it much!
