This was the post in question.
For my 06 1200R both the service and owners manual state to check it on the stand. I am thankful that HD decided to do this as it makes checking it easier.
To the OP WHY DON'T YOU be sure to POST THE CORRECT INFORMATION.
You point fingers saying it was wrong bla bla bla. Yet YOU ARE the one that's wrong. Yes for your bike maybe you are correct. However for the post in question YOU ARE WRONG. The correct information about checking it on the jiffy stand was correct. So before you go and point fingers, you might want to double check yourself and get off your high horse.
Yes there are alot of people that know their stuff, as others have said. They are some of the most helpful and knowledgeable people around. However they still aren't a replacement for a manual.
I echo the sentiments of those that can't understand why people are too cheap to buy a manual, yet come here for information. Then they get all pissy when you tell them to check the manual or ask what theirs said.
You spend thousands and thousands of dollars on a bike, plan on doing some work yourself, spend thousands on accessories, yet are too cheap to buy a manual? Those types of people need to sell their bike and find another hobby.
The first and most important accessory that I bought for my bike was the owners and service manuals.
So, don't be suprised if you ask a question later on, and nobody replies.
Shows how much class you really have dude.
