D&D fat cat for sure. Not loud at all compaired to my bss. Great low end torque and easy install! Its got a deep hot rod rumble much different than my loud tinny sounding BSS. I gained 5-10 mph compaired to my BSS.
yea a 2 into 1 is your best bet. i like the D&D the best. you will lose low end torque if you go with an open set up...but if you have a 2 into 1 like that you'll gain imo.
From what others have posted here, doing just the exhaust will give you more HP but at the expense of torque.
Wrong.
Torque suffers when you purchase a 2-2 system like V&H Shortshot or something similar, if they pipes don't look like they have a muffler or if you purchase slipons with too big of a core diameter you can bet the torque is going to take it in the shorts.
I am looking to replace my stock pipes on my 2010 48 to get more low end torque. I am not concerned with the high end HP as I don't go that fast.
Requirements:
2-into-1
Heatshields are a must
Not too loud - prefer the deep rumble sound
Black
I am currently debating between these three (ordered low to high priced):
Kerker SuperMegs
D&D Bob Cat
Samson Powerflow II
Any one have dyno stats on these or know which has best low end torque? Or another not mentioned above?
I plan on installing a Arlen Ness Twin Sucker (Dual runners) air filter.
Thanks!!
i have to be honest here about our Samson Powerflow II, they are meant for more high end HP because of the stepped header than low end torque on a stock engine. we would be proud if you ran our Powerflow II but we have other pipes to choose from with great low end torque. just being honest here.
thank you,
JR

Definitely appreciate the honesty. Which Samson pipes would you recommend?
