Maybe they work better on higher bars............don't know for sure but I played around with mine and after adjusting the mirror and the mounting rod I can see pretty much the same as with them on top. Maybe a fad maybe not. Seems to me like I saw a few or maybe a lot of choppers in the 70's maybe that had this setup with one mirror. It took a little getting used to but not long. I like mine there. Now I'm rambling - sorry - thats what happens when you get old.

I could see with them both ways. I like them flipped but with a passenger you can not see ****. I like the way it looks fad or not and I dont give a **** if the others don't like it, don't look at it is what I got to say. BUT I still always do a shoulder check when changing lanes no matter what.

I like the way they look flown underneath the bars, however I could see better with them mounted above the bars.
Maybe cause i am 6'1...dont know if height has anything to do with it, but I never had a problem seeing past my shoulders or arms with my mirrors mounted above the bars and seem to have a more difficult time seeing with them under the bars.
With them under I am having to duck my head down farther to see behind me....I will probably change mine back to stock.

I can see behind perfectly without flipping mine as long as i don't have some big puffy jacket flapping in the wind. I think flipping them looks ghetto but to each their own. I did have to turn the mirror posts forward a bit to find the perfect position. The dealer position was crap.

I flipped mine yesterday, but no matter how i adjusted them, they would still hit the tank when turning the handlebars hard to either side. How do you get around that problem ?
