Flipped the mirrors on my IRON and could see much better than stock location. Then...I flipped my bars and kept my mirrors flipped. I can't see shiat! LOL. I have to lean to one side and pull my knee up against the tank to see behind me. I really don't care, I think it looks cool and if I need to I'll just turn my head around like the exorcist.

Just installed the Licks 3" round mirror on my bars. Left side only and on the bottom. Took it for a ride and don't see any worse or any better than with the flipped stock mirrors. Sorry for the poor quality photo. Gonna keep it this way cause "I" like it. Like other forum members I allways have the habit of looking over my shoulder anyway when changing lanes etc.

Flipped looks awesome. With my mini apes they gave me 100% better vision. With my 14" pudgies I have a nice view of my armpits O_o Safety over looks I'm afraid. they are back up. I'll just get some small mirrors for up top. Bar ends won't work for me since I have a rotating internal throttle.

So when people buy the 48 with the mirrors flipped under the bars, Is the new mod going to be to flip them to the top of the bars?

I have drag bars on my XL50 and flipped the morrors and could not see, i even adjusted the bars in the risers and it did nto help much. I think they look good on some bikes flipped, but not all. Just run them the right way or get a better looking set of mirrors.

I love that people are using the word "ghetto" when describing flipped mirrors...or Harleys in general. I've never seen a thug gangster from the ghetto cruising a Harley.

The reason my mirror is flipped is...not because my homies in da hood think it looks dope...word playa...I'm just keeping it real.

This thread was getting really lame until I got to this post. Thanks Cpitch, for not making it a complete waste of time!
