Will change tone and not increase sound, increase back fires, reduce back pressure, and cause your valves to run hotter - not a good idea to remove them.

Yeah I took out the baffles in my sideshots once. I didn't notice any difference in the sound or power. The baffles that come standard in V&H pipes aren't made to decrease/muffle sound. They are there for performance reasons. They have the quiet baffles that are intended to decrease sound. If you are tuned to run baffles and you take them out it will mess up the bikes tune and that's why a lot of people say they feel a difference in power.
