battery and engine lights on???

strangest thing happened yesterday..took a ride down to a friends house,lights came on about 3 mi. into the ride and went out a mile later. arrived at friends house and put the volt meter on,voltage was right in the range(high idle=14.9v) that cHarley talked about earlier(post 4) and the lights have not come on all day..fixed itself??? ..very strange...I'm going to re-check again today just to be sure but, so far the voltage is correct..got a lot on my plate today and tonight,Ill post again tomorrow with any new findings..
