2005 Hardtail Build
Did some much needed cleaning in the garage yesterday and my brother pointed me in the direction of a tank listed on CL. So I decided to pick it up, nothing wrong with having multiple tanks. It is pearl yellow and its just my luck that the pearl in there is lime green!!! I listed it for sale on here, but I think I am going to keep it to run on the bike once and a while.

I have got quite a few parts recently and am now basically just waiting on my seat pan. Or course besides for all the little things to make all these parts work, but I am speaking of the major items.
So in no particular order here are some of the parts I have gathered together in the past 2 weeks.
New plate bracket and "Stop" lens. Bought the tail light last year, decided to just change the lens as I am still fond on this style tail light.

Pieced together a chain tensioner from Tractor Supply a local company that offers a large assortment of items like this. Just gotta dig deep

Picked up my lowering kit for the front end, this is the complete kit, not drop in kit. So it will lower the front end 2''. Got new fork seals and oil as well. What is a fork job without beer, so I picked up an 18 pack of diet beer

Fork tubes have been dropped off at the guy I use for all my powder coating. They will be gloss black. Also got the trees powder coated gloss black.

My oil tank came in, this was custom ordered from a company in California based on measurements of my frame. Shot glass cap installed.

Last but not least, my fender arrived today. Now its basically time to do mock ups and figure what I need for bungs/mounts etc.

A lot of work ahead of me, but I hope to have the bike on the road by the first day of April. If not, I guess April fools will be on me. I am leaving out a lot of the little parts I am accumulating so there will be some surprise once I start putting pictures up of the bike going together. So stay tuned if you'd like, should be one hell of a show
Indeed they do, thats why I just had to have one of my own. Sick of sitting on the sidelines.

Got a email today saying that my seat pan is on its way 2-3 day priority mail. So it should be here this week if all the snow we are getting here in Massachusetts doesn't delay it a bit (20 inches due between today and tomorrow) At least it is starting to look like everything will begin to go in the right direction now. I threw the handle bars on today as well, but didn't take a picture. Now its a matter of waiting for the call that all my other parts are ready to pick up from the powder coater. Head into my guy I use to get all my gaskets and start going full speed ahead. I still have to order bungs to mount the seat pan, fender and oil tank. Then figure out what I am going to use to make oil lines. The wheels in my head are turning, like I said before. Once I have all the parts lines up ready to go, the bike is going to go together very quickly. Once the fender and oil tank get mounted, they will be removed for powder coating and then I will finalize everything on the bike while I wait to get them back.

Thumbs up to Hard luck designs. Awesome customer service and quick turn around time.

Quick mock up on the seat.

Handle bars back on with a shorter riser. I may end up going back to my 3inch riser, good enough for now so I can move the bike around easy.

Thats all, kinda don't want to get too involved in anything right now then have to stop do to moving. I do plan for this bike to be road worthy by the beginning of April.
