Tire wear is also relative to your geographic location. The higher asphalt temperatures in the southern states softens the rubber compound. It makes the tire stick better, but it's hell on tire mileage. The same is also true when it comes to the composition of the asphalt mixtures used in different parts of the country. A coarse grade asphalt just chews the rubber up.

Cool Dunlop Stockers

Are doing fine,,
The Super Brace stopped all wandering,,, It was NOT the tire,,
It was fork flex.
4,000 miles and my rear Is still knee deep In tread.
Front 19 Is about even with the rear.
Because I "workout" In the twisties I'll be changin both tires at the
same time.
Biggest factor for Tire wear,,,
Tire pressure,,,
Second biggest factor,,,smooth control Inputs, Brake and throttle.

Its Killer hot down here In Florida an my ridin buddy got 12,000 outta
the dunlops,,21" front, he has a custom. Had to change both at one time.
Only way I can see someone doing two rears to one front is
heavy loads,,Incorrect pressure (In the rear) or mellow riding in the turns.
I check Pressure weekly,,,I'm 220 gear and all...

Hot weather pressures:
38 psi rear
33.5 psi front.

Cold weather pressures:
(below 60 degrees F max air temp)
40 rear
36 front.
Book says
36 r
30 f
Wrong! that will get ya a squared off rear tire If yer 200lbs plus,,,
BTW 30 front will give ya crappy tracking.

At 13,500 my front and rear are worn the same amount, I'll make 16,000 or 17,000 easily.

Stock Dunlop 401 lasted me 8000 on rear. The front is pretty close to needing it as well.

I just replaced both front and rear that had 6200 miles on them.

Oh yeah, I blew them both out at the same time while running over road debris 80 miles from home.No one has given me a grimlin bell yet and I think thats why it happened
