Hi, I just bought a 2009 Harley Sportster Nightster (the orange and black one) for $8,100 with only 70 miles. I just started to ride, but I really like this bike. Very easy to maneuver, low to ground, etc. (and the vintage look is big pimpin'!)
MY PROBLEM: The silver gas cap has a flat Harley cover on in that slides across it. I am turning the gas cap to open it and it just keeps turning. I push down on it, up on it. NADA. When I slide the cover over, it shows a black interior but not sure if this was a locking mechanism that broke or not.
Help, please! I need to gas it up but can't get the cap off!! LOL
Actually, I just went out and messed with it and it finally came off. It was just turning and turning. I am thinking that when I will take the gas cap into the dealer tomorrow and see if it is defective. Does yours lock? Does the top slide over?
