Just bought Custom black 28" broomstick drags... but they have no dimples... I just looked through at of threads and pics and i know there has to be a way to make bars with no dimples work... what do i do? should i just takea dremel and cut a small notch on the bottom side of the controls so the wiring can fit through?
Im really digging the bars and dont want to return them... also not interested in running wires inside the bar... let me know what i should to to make the bars work with stock controls and no dimples...
thanks!
hhhmmm i know most folks around here run the wires through the bars.
But I see you are not interested in doing that, maybe someone has done what you are talking about and will chime in soon.
Best of luck
found some pics from motordrum when he had drags.... looks like he was running the wiring outside the bars, and it was going outside the fixture for the brake/clutch... unfortunately i cant figure out how to contact him, i dont see a PM button... maybe im too new to PM? I think a few other guys are running a similar set up...
My clips don't have dimples. You can dremmel out a groove to feed them outside, but going that route you may as well do internal wiring while you're at it. Bite the bullet and do it the right way the first time. I took an easier way out and ran into some major electrical chaffing issues and the bike stranded me one day. Been there, done that. That's the best advice I can give you. Keep us updated!
