I have a 74' sportster and im really looking to put a springer front end on it. All the ones ive seen say they will fit a 1" neck. What can I do to modify my neck. Can I just change the bearings, races, etc. to use a big twin front end? or do I need to modify the front end to fit into my Ironhead neck?

You can get conversion bearing cups for your (I believe) 7/8" neck.

Tampa Craigslist had one of these front ends pretty cheap yesterday, you may want to look there.
