Default Newbie Handlebar question

Hi, All.
I need your collective wisdom here...
I've got this 2004 XL1200R with (and here's the issue) Drag Bars with 4" risers.
It's a great ride, but the handlebars are just a tad bit too forward.
So, I thought all I needed to do was to install "standard" handlebars.
I found a set of XL Custom handlebars (12 inches ??? I'll need do measure) and when trying to install them found my clutch cable was too short. I also noticed (after all this time) that the wiring was inside (Rats! ) and that the drag bars were 1.25 inches (but tapered to 1" at the Risers, hand controls, and grips, so not an issue).
Soooo, I thought of two things: either redo the whole friggin' cables, or change the Risers to 1.5 inches at 45 degres.
My question: where could I find 1.5 inches risers (for 1" handlebars) ?
I think they're stock, but Harley doesn't advertise it on their web catalog.
I'll try Harley tomorrow, but maybe someone out there would have them used at a lower price... guys ?
With these risers, maybe I'll still need to change to XL Custom cables ???
Anyhoo, your input is appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

Clutch cable is too SHORT? Really? Try no risers and your new bars

Pullback risers seems like the easiest fix for you. Anyplace that sells motorcycle accessories should have risers.

If you want to keep the stock look then the 04 & up "C" model risers will pull the bars back quite a bit.

That's what I did, and the clutch cable is a bit tight...

Throttle & Idle are also a bit tight...
What do you think ?

Hi, Sarge.
Not sure about selling the drag bars & 4" risers. First, They're 1.25" and look real beefy. Maybe I'll decide to put them back on again eventually (after my back gets a rest...). Next, I live up in Canada, which makes it a logistics nightmare to sell stuff to the States. Thanks for the interest though.

Cheers,
Dan

No prob, never hurts to ask.

Those "standard" bars look like they have much more rise than stock. Seems to me that as long as you can turn the bike fully in either direction you shouldn't have any issues. Just my 2 cents
