Hello All. The previous owner wasn't the best at cleaning the bike. I have put in some good elbow grease to get the bike to proper respectability. Hit a couple of bumps though. Does anyone know how to clean 'Stains' from the Gray Primary cover? The stains look like something may have been spilt on it, not oil/grease. Also, need a good way to cleans rust spots off the spokes. Hard to reach so looks like previous owner didn't even try.
Thanks in advance.
had the same thing with mine .. after looking around, I found myself back at the stealer .. found S100 Total Cycle Cleaner. That stuff is pretty awesome. Used it on the engine/trans and after seeing how good it worked, decided to do the whole bike. I tell ya, this is the ****. The stains on my block are gone. The wheels, spokes, brakes are sparkling clean. Everything looks new.
"Mad" is absolutely right. I generally try not to use motorcycle specific stuff, as it tends to be overpriced, but S100 Total Cycle Cleaner is the ****!! Actually, all their products work really well.
Great! Thanks I will try it. My neightbor and I were up Friday night 'til 4 am installing forward controls and cleaning mine and his Low Rider. All looks great, this was all that was lacking.
Be very careful with S100 total cycle cleaner. If you don't follow the instructions (to the letter) it will cause more stains. Don't get me wrong S100 is a very good product. I've had to fix customers problems in the past. You could try a strong citrus cleaner with a nylon brush.
I was cleaning the motor to apply a coating to black it out and I wanted to remove all of the road grime and oil stains. The stuff worked so good, I cleaned the entire bike.
Thanks all. Take pride in what you ride. Nothing wrong with a clean bike. Between the boys, boat and camper, it took a while for Daddy to get his toy. I Plan to make this bike last for my boys to ride.
