Final dyno results on my 2008 Nightster!
If one Operator straps the bike down harder he will get lower numbers,
If another does not do a proper warm up,,as In making shure the
lower end Is fully warmed up he will get lower numbers.
IF proper fan blowers are not used that operator will get different numbers,
The truth Is at the Drag strip,,
Proper shifting will net the most speed and power.
Last time I raced a stage one with my box stocker I whupped him good.
Actually last few riders with stage one's were ringing It out and I was not.
In the light to light game.
As the old sayin goes,,"It looks good on paper", and is a good reference
point to judge mods but 6 to 8 hp on a dyno sheet may mean nothing
on the drag strip.
A more linear rising torque curve means more than a big peak at 5,000.
Just sayin,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I'm told and cannot verify that the 07-08 EFI 1200 Roadsters have bigger valves
Inside the Buell type heads alowing me to eat Stage ones for breakfast.
Also told by an HD mechanic that Dynos can be plus or minus as much as 10%
depending on the Operator.
