my bike has 5 inch risers, bent towards the rider about 30 or 40 degrees, the bars measure 10 inches high ,then they bend back down about half of that, when my hands are on the grips my thumbs are pointing at the sky. it is very hard to turn sharp at low speeds, your hand for the clutch is right in your stomach. could someone suggest a set of bars, that would be a good all round bar.
grip to grip on my bars are 25 inches
thanks
What year is your Sportster? Your current handle bars sound like Buck horns. My 99 Sportster had buck horns and I found them to be very uncomfortable. The unnatural hand position and sideways throttle movement caused my hand to cramp. In turns, they did not instill confidence.
I found a web site that had parts schematics for the various Sportster models-Sport, Custom etc. In 99, three style of handlebars were offered using the same riser-Buck horn, drag and pull backs. I ordered a set of stock pull back handlebars for another model Sportster of the same year, which I knew would be compatible with the riser.

I have the HD 4" curve risers on my XL50 with 28" 15 degree drag bars and love them. I have thought about getting a stock set of risers, but I'm comfortable with my set up and it looks great!
