Default SCreaming Eagles Modification

Hey guys.......I hope all is well. I have a new 883 Iron with screamin eagles pipes on. I cant help but feel that they are not the loudest. I have spoken to the dealership and they agreed to modify them.......the question is - can they really make them louder and help the overall performance of the bike or should I pass?

I am really stuck on a wind shield choice I am looking at the harley 18' screen - is anyone riding with them and how do they perform?...

Please can someone suggest a really cool looking pillian seat with sissy bars.......I want the classic bobber look......

thanks for the effort and ride safe!

The screamin eagles to me are no better performance wise then any other aftermarket pipe. And like you found out, they are quite as hell and dont sound much different then the stockers. If you modify your pipe by drilling or cutting out the baffle (Which is what the dealer is goin to do), then to me you just wasted money on SE pipes. You should have just bought cheapo slip-ons and drilled those out. I know tons of people that sold their SE pipes a month after buyin them. If you want to go for the Slip-on type muffler and sound pretty deep and mean, then I suggest Rush or Rienhart Slip-ons.

As for the windshield, you afraid of Bug juice? lol j/k

I have SE II slip on mufflers on my 1200C. They were on it when I bought it. I thought they were too quiet as well. I just put thunder city monster baffles in them a week ago. Sounds awesome, and a very easy job in your garage. Very happy with them, worth the $125.

I think the Screaming Beagle pipes are under same EPA restrictions as stock pipes.

What Screaming Eagles do you have. Damn there are loud and not so loud SE pipes available.
