Anybody using these or have experience w/ them on there Sporty? Kinda thinkin about doing something different than my RSD apes. I've been diggin that cafe look for my Nightster, just without the long travel shocks on the back. Similar to the RSD Cafe nightster.
who else makes clip-ons besides RSD? And why can't you go with someone else? Do RSD have the best quality? Never heard of these guys until a couple of days ago, and they have some impressive items for the sporty.
lick's makes them for 39mm forks. they are a bit pricey if you ask me but they are good quality. you can mount them above the top tree also if you get some longer fork tubes. i think that's how i would do it, that pic of you on your bike REED makes my back hurt just lookin at it. http://www.lickscycles.com/catalog/p...oducts_id=1906
Thanks for the pics REED. They look pretty sic man. So how long can you ride before your back starts hurtin? I want to get that speedo relocation kit from RSD but I'm wondering if ya have to get there clip-ons for it to work.
MREED - I'm about to slide my clips down the forks a few inches like in these pics. May even bring them down to the tree, who knows! However, the front brake hose will starve, so I will have to replace it with a longer one. Maybe I will buy a stock rear brake line hose, cause they seem a bit longer. Anyways, what's involved with removing/replacing that short front brake hose? Bleeding? I've never done a brake job in my life. Help me out!
My front brake line is 28" long...much shorter than a stock line and it doesn't starve. I don't think I'm following exactly what you're asking. If it's bled properly the shorter hose doesn't cause a problem.
