Default chose an air cleaner for my nightster

well i decided on the big sucker I air cleaner for my nightster
but i bought the one without the cover.

picked it up from a guy on eBay for $107 priority shipped, he
has 2 left as of right now if anyone else is interested.

now to decide on what cover for it, anyone know for sure
what year evo covers will work with it?
i would appreciate the list so i can cross reference with aftermarket
covers.

I'm a big fan of "clean" and simple. If I'm not mistaken, I think there are some smooth chrome covers that work with the big sucker right in the the big Harley catalog. I like the big sucker. I looked at the joker machine air cleaners and I believe the big sucker is a larger diameter. (could be wrong, but just visually looks bigger, which I like.) However, I am kind of falling in love with the Performance Machine Universal Super Gas Air Cleaner with just the mesh and none of the fancy covers for my Forty Eight. Of course, has to be one of the more expensive air cleaners.

I just put this one on my bike today. Got it from JP cycles, but it is a drag specialties part. "Retro air cleaner". Needed to mod it a bit to fit, but no major effort. I'm probably going to paint it black.

Do you really need somebody else to tell you want will look best on YOUR bike??

When it comes to an air cleaner, your should be more interested in function, not appearance.

Sorry, I will go back into my cave now.

A BS II won't give you more performance than the BS I unless you've done a stage 3 or more to your motor. Your carb is only going to suck so many CFM.

YES please go back in to your cave, that is until you learn how to NOT read between the F**G lines.
this is what i asked

see I DIDNT ASK FOR WHAT WILL LOOK BEST ON MY BIKE.
so if you have nothing to add that relates to answering my question
back away from the keyboard

what i am looking for is what cross references so i can possibly
pick up something that was custom 15 years ago but is no longer made.
