Default Progressive 412's

I have been considering changing out stock shocks for the Progressive 412's and going lower. Anyone out there done this already and what do you think of the ride difference over stock?

Thanks

I went with 412s on my wife's bike. 1/2 inch shorter than stock on a 07 1200L. Ride was much more comfortable, it also handles better. I would say it is the most worthwhile mod we have done to the bike.

The 412 Progressive's are a BIG improvement over the stock shocks IMO, especially in the longer lengths. The 12.5" and longer Progressive's have a better spring rate than the stiffer shorter models.

If you'e going shorter, you will notice little improvement in ride quality with Progressive 412s.

I've got 412s on my bike, along with Progressive fork springs. The ride and handling is much improved, although I've got 13" 412s. I imagine the shorter ones would be a lot stiffer.

I would never go shorter, I went with 13.5" 440s in the rear and Progrersssive fork springs and 7w BelRay fork oil in the front. As mentioned, both the ride and handling are greatly improved.
