"I think the main reason the cruiser guys don't want to wear helmets is simply because they don't want to invest all that time and money into looking cool and not be seen seen doing it". Perhaps the "cruiser guys" are the only real bikers?

I keep it on my desk at work, and one guy that works for the same company who I don't even know came up to my desk and apologized for almost swerving into me, but he said he saw my helmet. Cool.
i guess I almost get run over a lot, because I didn't even know what incident he was talking about.
Made by the government. Who wrote the laws, so they could get money from the helmet and insurgence companies.
Why not look it up on snopes. They are about the same. No use to the thinking person.
How come I cant carry a parachute on an airliner?
Its safety equipment, and sometime the place will crash. The same goivernemnt has empowered tools to grab your ole ladies and kids privates, with no laws, and your going to believe them.
If you would educate yourself, you might find the trend for the Liberals is to attach an emergency clause on everything. then NO ONE can rescind any law. States were mandated by the Feds, the states want the federal money. So they screw WE THE PEOPLE

Please show evidence for this. In NY it is not the case, and I suspect that it is not illegal to use earplugs while riding a motorcycle anywhere else either, except for california. But I'll gladly change that tune if you can show me different.
You probably can't carry a parachute on an airliner because they are afraid that you will panic and try to open the emergency door like a fool and cause a problem if there is turbulence. Plus, you can't have people deciding that they have had enough and running out the door while the plane is in flight.
Here's the section of the CA law that pertains to earplugs and riding a motorcycle. It seems that, given that riding earplugs are designed to let the rider still hear sirens, the law is basically not enforceable in regard to motorcyclists.
I don't think other states have anything like this though:
(d) Any person wearing personal hearing protectors in the form of custom earplugs or molds that are designed to attenuate injurious noise levels. The custom plugs or molds shall be designed in a manner so as to not inhibit the wearer's ability to hear a siren or horn from an emergency vehicle or a horn from another motor vehicle.

You can take a parachute on an airliner, check it with your bags. I dont want to be the one to break this to you but a parachute serves no purpose on an airliner.
A: Airliners travel about 200 knots faster than you could most people can survive exiting the aircraft.
B: assuming you survived the exit in tact you would lose conscientiousness from lack of oxygen until you passed @ 15,000' ASL. If you are going to fire rounds down range you might want to insure they are not blanks.
The stewardesses hate having to open the cabin door mid flight for passengers to disembark. Also it tends to suck people and things out the door when the cabin is under pressure at high altitude.
