Yeah it's just a bulb swap just loosen the ring clamp around the housing and the whole thing will pull apart just swap out the bulbs. it takes about 10 minutes and if I remember right a screwdriver
thats so expensive ! just installed some halo's on my friends r6 and it was only $199 for the whole kit ... for $399 I will stay with the stock headlight plus with the iron I think the stock headlight goes better with te more "vintage" look
IMHO, for a nice, legal upgrade in both light output (lumens) and beam pattern take a look at the Candlepower 5 3/4" quartz headlight and then add the Osram Rallye 70/65w +50 H4 bulb. The current draw is not high enough to cause a problem with burning/melting the stock wires/headlight plug but makes a marked difference in output. Also make sure you have your headlight aimed correctly. Mine was off from the factory. Linky's:
If I remember right the high output bulb from HD was less than $50 and it greatly improves the output at night. My dad even commented on it when he realized my headlight was brighter than the two on his goldwing
