Default Monkey Butt-need better seat.

I need a better seat for my '86 sport. I want something nice and wide and soft. The one I have on now is a mustang 2 up seat. After about an hour of riding, my *** cheeks are glowing and it's really uncomfortable. Anybody got any good suggestions for a nice a comfy long distance riding seat for a mid 80's Sport?

Man, I thought the Mustang was about as cush as you could get. The ones I have seen are wide and pretty soft and plush. I prefer a Corbin, but it is not that wide, and definately not soft.

Good luck in your quest.

Regards,

Bill

it is comfortable, for about the first 2 hours. I have sat on some of my friends bikes with wider seats that felt much better. The seat I have is a pretty high dollar mustang but......really gives me the monkey butt after a while, and I like long rides. Maybe I need to lose some of the 240 lbs Im carrying around on that ***. Now where did I put that home do-it-yourself gastro bypass surgery kit?

You can always throw a jell pad on for longer rides.

I bought a Get Tek pad for my wife's bike and she loves it. It will strap on top of the seat but we ended up getting it installed under the leather. I believe these are the best motorcycle gel pads. You can order them from Gel Tek dot com or something like that. They are about $100.

Hey thanks Geezer, I'm gonna order one right soon. Thanks for the heads up. This may be what I needed.

Check this place out for the gel pads. They have the add on pads, and also will install one in your seat.

www.buttbuffer.com

I had two installed in my Mustang seat about 5 years ago, one for the rider part and one for the passenger. One of the best things I did for riding!
