RSD filter

Putting the RSD filter on my 2010 48. The directions show 2 rubber breather tubes. Mine didnt come with them. My stealership said they called RSD and was told that the sportsters dont need them. My Screaming Eagle stage 1 kit had them though. Anybody else using this filter and not running the tubes?

Is the backing plate for the filter ported from the breather bolts to inside the filter area? Or does the backing plate have hose bungs on it?

the mounting bolts have a tiny hole in each 1 that the tubes go over top of them and then go to the throttlebody. the backing plate has a cut out for the tubes. I probably will call RSD monday to see if they will send me the tubes. It says right on the box built-in internal crank case breather bolts and tubes to eliminate oil leakage.

Same issue

HI ..
I am having the same issue. I have a IRON 883 and my RSD air filter didnt come with the rubber breather tubes. Did you call RSD? Please let me know what they told you.

If you have the newer RSD AC (purchased recently), your bike doesn't need the rubber breather tubes. Just some RTV silicone around the bottom edges (as per the intructions) and you'll be fine.
