I grind those pegs all the time and love every moment of it, got the bottom of the pipes a couple times too. And yes the bolts on the exhaust have become nubs. Wish I could lean it a bit more, but that ain't gonna happen with cruiser style bikes.
I have not ridden a Superlow, but everything that I have read bout them is that the scrape early and often. It is a trade off to get the seat that low. Slow down and do not lean so hard into those corners. The pegs are set to grind as a warning that you are about to run out of clearance. If something fixed hits you can lever the rear tire off the ground and that leads to a bad day.
Well, it is a Super Low. Sportsters don't have a lot of clearance for lean angle to begin with.
This is very true, so you just have to learn to ride in a way that you don't drag hard parts. I mean I use to do that on my XL50, but now I can rip in the curves and not drag, it's just something you learn over time. The Sportys are not sport bikes so don't try to ride them like one. I had to learn that as well since I come from the Sport bike world.
Of course you're scraping. Sportys aren't designed to be cornering monsters. And you do have one of the "low" models that has almost no ground clearance. You'll get used to it, it's part of the fun of Harley ownership.
Also be very careful of speedbumps. The bottom of the frame will drag or bang on most, doesn't matter how slow you creep over them. That bang probably sounds worse than it really is, but sure don't want to bust open a case. If you can hit them at an angle, it decreases the chances of bottoming out.
Just means you're riding/cornering the bike correctly...
I don't recall if the SL pegs have scraper tips like Nightsters...?? If not, you could swap yours w/this type of set, or possibly look into mid-controls...JMO.
