Default Internal wiring for bars

I'm looking at getting the bitwell tracker bars and wanted to go ahead and do the internal wiring.
How hard is this to do? Do you have to cut the wires? Do you get the bars without dimples if you go internal?

Thanks in advance.

You don't have to cut the wires, just diassemble the connectors using a paper clip. Don't buy dimpled ones, just get the standard ones.

All the tools you need

Connector ends after you diassemble

Ran mine through the center the first time, my bars now I did 2 separate holes

Don't forget to make note of your wiring colors!

you got to work at it a little bit to get the connectors apart, but it's better than cutting the wires. Just make sure you debur all the holes so you don't chaff you wires down the road. I milled a slot in mines to give it a little wiggle room. I also moved my turn signals to the down tubes, which made for less wires in the handlebar.
Take your time!!!!!!!

You can get a close up and see how the Deutsch connectors come apart here. http://linson.us/harleydavidson/spor...ter_instal.htm I've ran the wires inside my stock bars and you're gonna spend a few hours doing it. Make sure to make a drawing and label what color wires go where before you take em all out of the connector. I just wrote it down in my service manual. I think there were 8 wires per side. I wiped em down with baby powder and tied kite string to em and used a shopvac to pull the kite string through the handlebars and then just pulled em thru.

Default sure about non-dimpled bars?

You sure dimpled bars aren't required?
I bought a set of drag bars that weren't, and the wires exiting the hand controls were pinched because of the location of the exit holes in the respective housings, and as a result, they wouldn't mount right without the recess in the bars. I wired another bike of mine internally, and the holes in the bars for the wire were at the end of the dimple so the wires were effectively hidden.

You don't need dimpled bars.

You are going to spend a few hours doing wiring. Once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad. A bit of finese is required.

I tied fishing line to a bolt nut to thread, then re-tied the bolt nut to some clothes line string and pulled my wires that way. I have z bars so this should be a bit easier for you.

Good luck.

With tracker style bars there is no need for attacing any line or string, you jet shove the wires through one at a time and when you see them through the center hole just grab them with some long skinny needle nose or bend a little hook on a paperclip and pull them out the hole. I bet Z bars and stuff would be a pain.
