Howzit

I Couldn't get i inch drag bars out here in Cape Town so i had my own set bent up,The benders are very weary to bend in case they don't get the line. But they'll do it if you accept the result.I'm very keen on doing bars exactly like you are looking for,have been for a while now......... so it'll have a straight section across the clamps and and a nice round curve out to the grips.Remember stock bars have a dimple for the wiring.....so on homemade bars you have to modify the clutch side and brake side housings to fit.H.

If I bought straight drag bars with a dimple in them, could I put a slight bend in them without damaging the chrome?

No, the chrome has little flex in it. In order to bend them, you will have to put them in a tubing bender, which is extremely hard on a finished surface.

get a 1" steel tube from tractor supply. then get a pair of rubber stoppers from any hardware store. put a rubber stopper into one end of the tube and then pack playground sand (home depot/lowes) into the tube. when full, plug the end with the other rubber stopper.

now find some big circle to bend it around. you'll need help. and patience.
